Thinner seat/ seat height ????
Hi, I went from a Specialized Avatar to a Specializes Toupe Pro and the pro has 10mm less total height = less gel padding.
My ?? is should I raise my seat post and if so how much??
I took all kinds of measurements before and after the switch as I was just fitted at my LBS and it does fit me very well with the Avatar. even with 10 mm more gel I must of been at least 5 mm above the shell , so raising the seat post 5 mm (as the toupe pro has almost no cushion) should bring me to the same distance to the pedals. **********

yes, saddles come in various thicknesses, i want to call it the stack height of a saddle. i recently ran into a 1 1/2 inch discrepancy between my brooks pro (tall stack height) and a hong kong express carbon (low stack height) and i moved my seatpost to compensate.
