Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Bottom bracket quality? What do you like?

There was a bit of a tick coming from my stock BB so I took it out and decided to replace it. It is a FSA Power Drive BB-8420.
An upgrade should be fairly easy and inexpensive ($35 max, I'm thinking) to get. However I have no idea what is recommended in terms of quality. I can't seem to find anything objective online. So, I'd like to hear what you all have to say and recommend on mid-range BB's.
Thanks

Bottom brackets wear out. And it seems FSA's bottom brackets are all just a bit different, and probably the only upgrades are to ceramic bearings - think $100 or more, easily.

IMO, you have an FSA model number that you know works. Get another one.

I have a Chris King although I never think about the BB much.
It doesn't get much respect until it malfunctions.
