Problem Riding Wider Front Rim?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Problem Riding Wider Front Rim?

I need a new front wheel and I'm thinking building up the wheel with the Velocity A23 rim. However, the rear wheel is still in descent shape (DT Swiss 465). Is it a problem riding the wider rim in front and the standard width rim in the rear (Conti 4000S tires on both)?

I have a 23mm wheel on the front and 20mm on the back of my Pinarello. No problems at all.

No. The only thing you might want to consider is that running different widths will mean adjusting you brakes if you want to swap between wheelsets in future, but that's probably not a big deal.
