Which tires for my first tubular wheels?
I've got no experience with tubulars, other than having borrowed a few sets to ride on, so I need to avail myself of the collective wisdom of the 41.
I like GP4000s in clinchers, and I know they're available for tubular, but is there anything else I should consider? Cornering well, being supple and comfortable, resisting flats and all that great stuff are my priorities.
If it matters, I'm going to pay LBS to glue them for me.

If its a race day wheelset get vittoria evo cx. If you want durability and a little more flat protection get the gp4000s or continential competitions. The vittorias will ride a lot nicer and be a little rounder in my experience. However they only last about 1200 miles and with latex tubes you pump them up within a couple hours of your ride.

Yeah, they'll be every day wheels, and that means tires, too. Well, every dry day. Sounds like that means GPs?

Buy three of those Yellow Jersey tires for $50, and ride out. I think all of the Continental tubulars are lumpy and that irritates me. Those cheap Yellow Jersey tires, and the cheap Vittoria Rallys, ride fine, their base tape is flat (Continental comes with some weird crease in them, making them a PITA to glue evenly..), and they're not lumpy.

For everyday use, I'd say Schwalbe Duranos.
That's what I use, and I've been very happy with mine. The Vitorias are great, but the lowest-of-the-line ones have no traction on wet ground... avoid around here!
Stop by recycled cycles some time - I'd be happy to meet you and chat about some options?
I'll be there all weekend.
