Amazing deal at a thrift store!

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Amazing deal at a thrift store!

I haven't been on here in quite some time, so I'm not sure if this is where to post this, but this deal was just too good to not tell people about.
I went into a local thriftstore looking for a belt for a jedi costume (woohoo phantom menace in 3d! ). But the first thing I notice when I walked in the door was a pair of sidis in really good condition, for $7!

I don't mean to brag or anything, I just wanted to share the awesome deal on got on these. Size 48 if anyone was wondering
look kind of like of like genius 4s, but I'm not really sure. if anyone could id them, that'd be cool

edit: oh yeah, and it came with campy profit pdre020 cleats with kool kovers.

why are there scissors in that photo? making me nervous.

nice find, though. i went to a thrift store to get some stuff for a party this past fall and found two pairs of castelli bib tights, one in great condition and the other not perfect but still pretty good. about $25 total for both pairs. i always wear something under them but they've been great this winter.

never know what you'll find.

they didn't really have any good belts for a jedi unfortunately. But I wasn't too bummed about it.

everytime I walk into a thrift store it feels like the thrift-store pickers have already ransacked all the good stuff...and I later see all these good stuff in the "vintage boutiques" in the trendy parts of the city (where else? downtown). I could NEVER find anything in the thrift stores around me.

congrats.

That's because the boutique owners make sure that they are on premises when new stock goes to the floor. Between that and ebay, it's almost impossible to find anything good at thrift stores or garage sales anymore.

Nice shoes, op.

Gawd, I hated Jar Jar... But really all three of the "prequels" were severely deficient, imho.

My buddy picked up a pair of Nimble Fly carbon tubular wheels with DT 240 hubs for $30 at a local thrift store. I haven't been so lucky.

size 48! I could put both of my feet in one shoe.

Thought maybe you scored an Italian steel frame in the correct size.

What a great score! Enjoy them.

I found a $250 Pategonia cashmere jacket at my local Value Village for $20. Snatched it right up, and it fits well and looks great on me. A little too warm to bike in, but I love thift stores.

Eh, that's not that big. I wear a pair of 49's right now that are a little big (48 would probably be better), but they came at the right price and haven't caused me any problems so far. I'm only a size 13.
