Alexrims DA22 - any good?
Hi, I'm still new here and learning how to navigate through the forums. Let me know if I have posted this in the wrong place...
I am looking into picking up a set of wheels and wasn't sure if they will work for me. They are Alexrims DA22. I went on the alexrins website but didn't understand the specs.,, will these rims take skinny tires (700x23) or are they meant for wider hybrid tires (700x28-32). Here's the listing... Any suggestions?

They are considered a lower end rim that are generally on oem wheels, but as long as they are well built they are fine but heavy. And yes, they are meant for 23mm tires.

They came on my cyclocross bike with 32mm knobby tires. So that tells me they are durable.

Those are the rims that came on my first road bike. I wouldn't buy them if looking for an upgrade.... they're pretty lackluster in every way imaginable. But they did carry me from nearly 300 lbs. down to 250 with only 1 broken spoke along the way; so if nothing else, they can be pretty robust if tensioned properly. If I absolutely needed some wheels to keep rolling, I could see picking up a pair if the price was right (<$150).... but if you already have a working wheelset, pass on those and save your money for a real upgrade.

Thanks! I was able to haggle him down to $130 including tires and a 9-speed shimano cassette.. I just want them for a bike that I'm building for beating around... Basically I'm building a cheap nice looking bike for riding into the city that I can lock up and not worry about.... So these should be perfect,
Thanks!
Thanks!

Probably a good deal for your purpose. But I didn't realize Toronto was that safe. People will literally steal anything where I live.
