So im only browsing for stems for my bike and i found this stem. its the right size
and carbon with TI hardware. claims to be light but its from china, japapan or one of those places.
Do you think its a good stem. any advise is welcomed.

Thats what i was thinking. I will pass. the last thing i need is to kill myself going down hill.
Thanks for input.
Too Good to be true. I wonder if they are made at the same factory and they are stolen from fsa.

FSA is made in Taiwan. These items are coming from the mainland. So no, not the same factory. The factory that makes these stems would never risk selling extras on the side. They would loose all of their business from FSA in a heartbeat. That is one of the biggest lies propagated by these counterfeiters. They claim these items are made in the same factory, and there is no way that would happen.

May not be an FSA but there is nothing wrong with the piece. These are aluminum stems wrapped in a carbon sheet. You will be just fine. If you go with what people say here anything you have that is not Trek, Specialized, Cannondale or Giant someday will explode next to a school bus full of orphans driven by a nun.

Or email the link to FSA.

I don't care what brand your stem is. But a fake is a fake.

I seem to remember you defending the factories that made the fake Pinarellos as well.

Last week that seller had dozens of the same stem but with ritchey wcs logos. I thought it had to be fake, but I put it in my watch list out of curiosity since it was the size and everything I was looking for. The pictures actually changed to the FSA logos within a few days. So I looked through the listing again and noticed that the seller doesn't mention FSA or Ritchey...

If it sounds too good to be true, it probably IS too good to be true.

I bought a "generic" no name carbon stem very similar to the one pictured above, aluminum covered in carbon, paid $20 for it from a seller on ebay. That was 3 years ago and 18K miles. I still use it on my main ride and it hasn't exploded yet.

Maybe...but I'd tempt the 'fake item' luck on things like 'carbon' bottle cages rather than stems/bars.
