Rode Di2 on Supersix today
Here is my short story before leading up to my ride. I am in sales and anyone who knows what the sales world is like knows that you will have some slow months. The last 3 months have been slow but the goals and expectations dont change for my industry (Red bull mngr). I didn't get much of my commission the last 3 months so we have had to tighten some things up financially around the house. A big spender was gas and cutting on un-needed driving. This unfortunately included me getting home from work and driving to my LBS for a quick lunch ride with my friends. (I would ride my bike to the LBS but I wouldn't have enough time round trip to get back home in time to pick up my kids from daycare). I had to tell him that I wouldn't be doing much riding with him till we were able to take care of the other priorities at home because of our cutting back on driving. He told me, just bring my gear with me to work and on my way home I could stop by and ride any of their bikes from the floor or test bikes they had upstairs. That way I save a trip back out, get to ride and make it home in time to get my kids.
So I stopped by the shop 2 days ago and was chat chitting. He says thursday I'm going on a ride, you wanna go? I said sure why not, it's going to be nice out. I was gonna ride an evo with sram red, but since I'm not a sram fan I opted for the supersix with ultegra di2. Today we headed out and it took me a couple miles to get comfortable with the shifting. regardless of how used to it I was, I can say it was quick, quiet and percise. I really enjoyed riding it. The supersix felt great as well. if it wasn't totally out of my pricerange I would think about getting one. The shifting was actually so easy to push that I found myself mis hitting a button once and a while. If you ever get the chance to ride di2, try it out so you can see for yourself.
What bike should I ride next? Cervelo, specialized, ridley, cannondale, TIME, scott...????

I recently rode a Madone 5 series with Ultegra Di2 and thought it was totally cool, I was surprised I liked it as much as I did.

I always recommend that people ride Di2, then they can opine on how it felt.
I feel that a good percentage of the people antagonistic to electronic shifting will feel differently once they've been on a good frame with it.
It is that good. And just imagine the possibilities going forward.............

TS, find yourself a Supersix on the Bay...pick it up used and get your electric shifting. There is no difference the past few years on the regular Supersix frames, you don't need to buy a brand new one.
Of course, you won't get a warranty, but you saved $1000 and can just buy another used Supersix frameset again if it gets busted up.
Just a thought.
I really want a Scott Foil Premium frame with Di2...like my supersix with all Red, but I really want the 3 watts of aero advantage and electronic shifting it offers
