Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Cheapest full 105 bike???

Anyone run across any outstanding deals on a full 105 bike. I missed the boat on the competitive cyclist bmc streetracers (799) but would like to find something similar or up to 1k. Wheels are unimportant, I have a set Id like to use. This will be a go fast commuter.

That was a good deal on a bike. It always makes me curious as to what I don't know about the product when I see such a deal ongoing. How has the quality and workmanship of that machine worked out in person?

And if you don't mind SRAM, this one is $599 delivered.

If you don't care about the name, I have owned one of these frames and they are very solid and comfortable.

I think as the sizes got more limited they dropped the price from $999 to $899 then finally $799... unless you are either a 60 or a 52(whatever their smallest size was) there wasn't much left.
