Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Nice frame, hard to go wrong with just about any Bianchi, but $800.00 ...hmmmm. I think it was the 8 series aluminum race frames that could be had for around $800.00 new (super awesome frameset) and then you can get into excellent Bianchi Carbon for like $2000 and change.

Granted, it is supposed to retail for $2500.00.............if it looks perfect, then go for it.

It's a nice frame. Offer them $600.

It's a decent deal to me. Looks like the frame got good reviews. Was ridden by Barloworld. Okay weight(claimed 1000-1100), good stiffness reports. I'd be particularly tempted if it were Celeste, just so classic.

There's a Bianchi dealer here that has been trying to unload a very similar demo '08 white 928 T-cube frameset for a grand. They've had it listed a long time though, so I don't know that its price reflects the market very well.

Precisely. If they say no, then maybe you can talk them into meeting you halfway and you save a hundred bucks. Worst case is you pay their asking price if you really want it.

That is a great all-around racing frame. Relatively light and very stiff. I felt like it was the best accelerating bike I've ridden. And made in Italy (at least mine was). I agree with ahsposo that you might offer them $600 and see what they say.
