Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Trying to get an idea on true market value (like edmunds does for cars) on some bikes I found estore-bike. As an example, they list a Dogma with DA for $4,100. I'm all for a good deal, but that sounds fishy. Other high end bikes are also priced quite low but not all are entirely unreasonable. Not asking about the wisdom of buying a bike online. Just curious if anyone knows if this a legit business.

For example, www estore-bike.com/products.php?160

(I broke the link on purpose to prevent analytics and google ranking)

I would not feel confident with information or ordering from those Indonesia mail order bike sites, especially if they've only been around for 2 months.

No, I wasn't planning to buy from them. More just wondering if their prices are realistic and representative of what price one might be able to get or if they are selling fake stuff or whatever. After a bit more googling, I found some info on the store and they "say" they are a regular store with inventory.

"Estore Bike has one of the largest shop floors in the country. Although it certainly helps, we're aware that size isn't everything so we've filled the store with a huge selection of road bikes, mountain bikes and hybrid bikes.

Estore Bike an independent bike shop established in 2000 and based in Jakarta, Indonesia and Singapore."

Sounds like they've been around a while too but, yeah, in Indonesia.

I've been looking at a few of these too. Some are pretty convincing, but others use the same storefront picture with a photoshop edit of the store name. Definitely a scam.
