Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Older Amer. Classic cr-420 Wheels/Moto Le Champion

So, I'm looking at one of those Moto Le Champions from ~5 years ago with full Ultegra 6600, Ritchey WCS, and the AC cr-420 wheels.

Remind me of the opinions on these wheels. I'm not seeing very many (sold or otherwise) on e-bay to gauge to value. I remember some poor reviews, so maybe they've all been purged/tossed? I'd probably sell the wheels right away as I'm over 200#'s. If they are worthless...or worth $300...that makes a big difference in what I'd pay for the bike. I know the frame isn't worth a lot - and I can roughly gauge the 6600 and WCS stuff.

What would you pay for the bike (assume ~2k mileage in good condition)?

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

I have a set of those wheels that I bought used from a friend. The front was great until getting wrecked in a crash. The rear needed new bearings and I have not got around to replacing them, so never used the rear. I'm 175 #
They are pretty light and aero for aluminum.
