Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Looking for a fork to fit 650c...

I purchased a Litespeed Saber which is sized for a 650c wheelset. It has a "well used" generic carbon fork (I don't see any markings on it to indicate manufacturer) that I would like to replace. My preference would be Cromoly or even Aluminum but if nobody knows of any place where I can purchase a fork made with those materials then any suggestions for a dependable carbon fork would be appreciated.

Good luck with that. 650C had a brief period of popularity with tri-geeks but they've faded even there. You might find a carbon fork, but steel is really going to be hard. You might be able to get a frame builder to make you a custom one, but that isn't going to be cheap.

Felt still makes 650c bikes for women. Contact them to see if they have anything in stock that fits your needs.

Google up "650c road fork". Click shopping up top. Am I missing something? What size is your steerer?

Go to a bike shop that sells Tri bikes. My LBS has a slew of 650c bikes. NWS Alpine is correct on the Felts, their ZW series has a 650c for each model. 3T makes one but its about $400-$500

Not the lightest but a great price.

Edit: here is an even better deal.

BTW, do you need 1" or 1 1/8" steerer?

I bought a sweet 1" Oval fork from the Hostel Shoppe that specializes in 650C recumbents. they also have an aluminum fork and another carbon fork:

I need a 1 1/8" threadless, which is a shame because I'm finding more or less what I'm looking for in 1" on eBay.

I've sent some initial emails to a couple of places that do custom work to see how much it would cost to produce a steel/alloy 650c fork with standard dimensions but I may just end up purchasing a carbon Easton so I can ride while I continue to look.

I've been doing quite a bit of that. I even thought I'd struck gold when I found some foreign language results that looked promising but they all ended up having 1" steerers.

The problem is--preferably--I'd like the fork to be steel/alloy instead of carbon and the few that seem to be in supply are all carbon. It may just be something I have to live with.

I'm pretty sure this is a 1-1/8" fork. It would be worth a call.
