Best bib short under $150?
I've spent a few weeks shopping and I haven't really found the deal that I was looking for.
I currently ride around 400 miles a month and I'm hoping to push that up now that I have a bit more time. Rides range from 20-75 miles so far. I want to buy a nicer pair of bibs, especially for the longer rides I've been doing.
I'm not ready to spend $300 on a pair but I'm really not against spending $100-150 if the fit is excellent.
Or I could just buy a few more pairs of the Descente bibs I'm using already, but I'm in the mood to try a nicer pair.
Open to any opinions that are within my budget and for which you have experience.

I got a pair of Castelli presto bibs on amazon for ~$90 less than a week ago. The "kiss" chamois is oh-so-comfortable... Much more comfortable than my DNA Italico bibs. But be careful, fit is a little small.

$150 is a pretty good budget for shorts...I'd imagine you could have your pick of pretty much anything.
I like Castelli...smaller fit but amazing comfort and long lasting. I've never tried Assos but they're supposed to be awesome too - you could grab some of those online for around $150.

I have a pair of Castelli tights, and I'm very happy with them. I wear a small in everything else, but those are mediums and they are tight, but they do fit. They are by far the nicest piece of cycling gear that I own. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't overlooking another brand. Also, it seems hard, at least on the internet, to tell which are the "endurance" bibs and which ones are made for a 25 mile race.

If you're buying Castelli AVOID anything that's Kiss 3. The pads are very thin. There's a reason why they're on the cheaper bibs and the X2s are on the more expensive ones. It's very, very thin.

I like the Pearl Izumi P.R.O. series. Nothing bad to say about them. Have the thermals knickers for winter and two sets of standard (not the special cool type) for summer. Love them all.

Sugoi RSE was on sale on Chainlove today for around $110. Snatched one today. (Already have 2 RSE shorts and 1 RSE bib Knicker... love their Chamois and texture) Knowing Chainlove... it will probably come around again.

This. I have the RSs (Lower than the RSEs,) and they're great. Either the RS or RSE is a good bet.

I love my Descente bibs, I would try a better pair of descente. I use the low end Prologue and love em, maybe their higher end model would be far better.

The British publication, called Cycling Plus, (available at Barnes and Noble) just reviewed a bunch of bib shorts and rated them. Check it out.

OP, pay attention to the chamois, not just the brand. Even Assos has different chamois. Personally, I like these chamois: Assos Mille, castelli x2, descente strata, pearl Izumi 4d pro, Sugoi rs. I haven't had good luck with any craft, low end castelli or capo forma stuff.

I haven't tried them myself - yet, but I've heard really good things from several reputable sources about the Louis Garneau Neo Power bibs.

Yeah, $150 is a good range for bibs.
I'll second (or third) the Sugoi bibs. I got some of those RSEs from Chainlove too, but only because I have a Sugoi Evolution bib that I got last year for like $80 that I love, but it's starting to fall apart.
Also Voler.
They have nice stuff for good prices. Last year they had a 2 for 1 sale on their nice bibs, so I was able to get 2 pairs for like $129 or something. I like these a lot too.
