Props to Competitivecyclist.com
I was trying to order an item on Competitivecyclist.com that showed on the website as marked down by more than 50%. When I added it to the cart, it kept showing up at the original price.
I called Competitivecyclist, and they told me that it was not on sale, that they had updated the website and there were a few glitches. Nonetheless, without any arguing on my part, the rep said he would put through the order on the phone at the marked down price.
I was impressed with the standup approach, and just wanted to pass on the positive experience.
By contrast, I tried to order something on World Cycling Productions a month or two ago, and despite their highly misleading promotion regarding discounts, they refused to honor a promotion that they intentionally put on their website.
I'll be ordering more from CC, and nothing from WCP, fwiw.

I like CC and I've even bought a few things at list price from them. But I do admit that primarily I am a purchaser of sale items. They are a solid company, for sure.

I am a big fan of competitive cyclist. They have always gone above and beyond when it comes to customer satisfaction. Your story is not surprising. (But it certainly is good to hear.)

+1. Solid stand-up company which takes customer service seriously. And their attitude is the same as what OP indicated, on their NQA returns as well. I returned a saddle and cages after the 60days, and boom, credit on my card in a day after they received the items. Same attributes apply to their subsidiary, Realcyclist, as well.

+1,000,000 they are a great company to deal with. Bought a wheelset from them a couple of years ago, twisted them up in 100 miles and they gave me a credit for the full amount and applied it to a new set.
Bought a pair of shoes, wore them for a little while, they sucked, sent them back and got another pair.
BTW I have to support them, a former friend is their pro team's DS.

Nope. I don't want to post the item and have someone reading the thread use it to take advantage.

Had a similar positive experience. Bought my M1 from them last year. It came the day before I was leaving for vacation with a badly bent derailleur hanger. Couldn't find one local, so they overnighted me a new one at no cost, and then reimbursed me the cost of having it installed at LBS.

I also had nothing but great experiences from CC. World Cycling is a different story. They also play games with list prices - checkout DA 7900 pedals at $399 list while everyplace else says $349 MSRP. No wonder they can afford discounts for orders above a certain amount on everything.
