Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Reynolds Solitude = red veloplugs

This post is for the benefit of future searchers.

I couldn't find this in a search, and was too lazy to take my tire off and check the hole size, so I ordered a bag of each (red and yellow).

The red ones fit Reynolds Solitude spoke holes perfectly, the yellow ones are too large. The red ones go in very easily, but are just snug enough to stay put.

Solves my problem I had with the narrow rims and (11mm) rim tape moving around, causing flats. These plugs won't move around.

Someone, somewhere, someday will be scouring the bowls of the internet at 1:00am, see this and thank you.

All the reynolds I've seen from the past few years use red veloplugs. Assaults. Attacks. DV46C's. MV32's.

And my Alta Race wheels! (predecessor to the Solitude). Nice wheels, dead solid and tough.

FWIW - because this will search well out on Google - Yellow plugs are needed for Kinlin rims. Red work great for the Gigantex carbon rims that I used to use. They also used to work for ENVE/EDGE rims.
