BMC Impec
Does anyone own the Impec and could give me some feedback. I tried to call Cadel Evans but he will not answer my calls. Interesting bike with race and performance fit and different seatpost options. I have never seen one on the road and everything I read is from BMC. I love the look of the bike...

It's a protour level bike. Frame's probably every bit as good as any other of the other dozen protour level bike. Find a shop and buy it if you like the looks.

Some feedback I read from people who have ridden it said it was very stiff. To a level that it felt like the ride quality was really affected by it. Very interesting design though.

I'm pretty sure that's because the Impec is still not available to the public.
Or at least not to the public in the USA.
Or if it is, it's because it's only just become available. BMC announced that bike way before it was a sellable entity.

The Impec frame is made almost entirely by robots in Switzerland. Some people will appreciate that fact, while others will prefer old school, by hand. Ride quality and fit aside, I think it looks cool.

I believe that R&A Cycles has it listed for sale in the US. Time for the OP to fork over the cash and make us jealous!

There has been some frames in the US for a little while. Not many people are buying them because it's limited in size/color and first impressions aren't that great. Or at least what they were expecting for the price.

speaking of expensive BMCs, I saw a SLR01 in the yellow/blk colourway (tdf ed?) being paraded around downtown on a bike rack on top of a car.

Anyone else notice the price tags of the high end "pro-tour" bikes keeps going up?

As do high end cars, bicycle grouppos, watches, basketball shoes, fly fishing rods, and other luxury items. So whats your point?

In the road review forum in the manufacturers/bmc thread there are a couple of guys that work in BMC dealers and looks like they have or have seen them in person. Probably you will have more luck out there. Hope you have the cash that frame is not cheap at all.
Sexy bike but for some reason the bike did not work in the road. That is made of carbon and stuff doesnt mean is a fast machine and since the team are not using them... no comments.

No, high end bikes have escalated more rapidly in recent years. Part of that is the propensity of manufacturers to load up these higher end offerings with $3K wheels, SRM's, Di2, etc. At that point the Di2 is the least of your pricing worries. If you dig around most companies' line you can usually find one with normal wheels and a straight Red or D.A. group set for like $7-$8K, but those bikes were $5500-$6500 a few years back.
