I need handlebar recommendations.
i need some handlebars that fit better. ultimately, id like the bend of the drop to be more shallow and the top of drop to be nearly straight and fairly short. does that make sense? suggestions?

3T Ergonova or Ergosum may fit the bill. The alloy versions are cheap and reliable.

I was also recently looking for a compact set of bars. It came down to the 3T Ergonova and the Ritchey WCS Evocurve https://www.ritcheylogic.com/dyn_prodfamily.php?k=358516

FSA Omega Compact has shorter reach and a hook area that can fit your hands, compared to 3T Ergonova.
I like the FSA Wing Pro also.

You've pretty much described many of the "compact" handlebars that are all the rage in the last couple years. The aluminum FSA Omega Compacts are pretty popular, which are what I have on one of my rides:

Have owned a lot of bars...but haven't tried them all.
K-wing is the best for ergonomics and forgiveness over bumps I have ridden.
Adds a touch of bling to the bike as well if that is your thing.

I looked at FSA Omega & Zipp Service Course Short/Shallow when I was bar shopping. Got a good deal on Service Course SL bars and love them. Great mix of ergonomics and stiffness. I'd recommend them in a heartbeat.

i found a cannondale branded take off pair for 20 bucks at the lbs near my work. the bend looks very similar to the omegas. should be better then the forte gorilla grips ive got on my bike now. thanks for the suggestions...
