Strange stuff seen while riding
Custom chopper at a stoplight with a tag frame that said "I'd rather be riding your daughter".

I had a guy yesterday throw beer cans at me. He threw atleast 3 while riding along side me. Not sure if that's the kind of strange your looking for, it's mostly just criminal.

I was riding through a downtown park last weekend early in the morning. I came upon 2 or 3 parked cars with the driver leaning back and the passenger's head bobbing up and down in his lap.

At least they were parked. I read an NTSB aircraft accident report once that attributed the accident to pilot error (controlled flight into terrain) probably due to pilot distraction and said [paraphrasing] "forensic evidence indicated oral-to-genital contact by front-seat passenger with pilot at the time of impact".

Our small group this morning road into the middle of a vintage tractor "group ride". We slowly passed around 30 of them.

Was riding on a MUP the other morning and came across two women walking towards me and doing some funky exercise stuff... I don't even know how to explain what they were doing... they are just zig-zagging and walking really fast and going sideways and yelling stuff out pretty loud... As I get closer I just knew what was going to happen... I said "heads up!" multiple times but they were in their own zone.
Sure enough as I got up to them one comes barreling onto my side of the trail... I was already going very slow at that point so I just stopped and put my feet down while she bumped right into me. Of course they both look up at me and act all shocked and startled like they were surprised other people actually use that same public trail.
I looked at them and ask: "Dancing with the Stars audition coming up?"
No answer and they continue on their way doing the exact same stuff... weaving, bobbing, walking sideways... Looking for their next hit and walk victim.

Going through a heavily forested section of road, a red and grey blur flashes past my head and goes SPLAT. I look down and see a disembowled and partially flayed squirrel. I look up a see a large hawk flying quietly through the trees. Apparently I disturbed his lunch.

a monster truck full of drunks yelling out the window trying to scare me to fall off my bike??
Passed a guy on skateboard. He said something about my bike...or kill me or something. I don't know.
Passed another guy riding his bike backward talking on cell phone. When i mean backward he is sitting on handlebars and riding it while talking on cell phone. He was all over the place, when i pass him finally.. HE started to yell profanity at me for scaring him. *sigh* Only if he looked where he was riding... and not talk on cell phone..

I once saw a motorcyclist and his girlfriend drive down the road. They had a toddler-sized, painted, old-fashioned coffin tied upright to the back of their Harley. That was kind of creepy.

I was doing one of my favorite mountain climbs yesterday in about 95 degree heat. On my way up, I passed a jogger who was heading down. He was carrying a bottle of water, and was wearing ironed khakis and a polo shirt. Running at a good clip, too.

On my last ride, Thursday I think, I was flagged down by a couple of cyclists because the man had a flat. As I approach to help I notice their bicycles. Both of them had bicycles that had to be $3000 bikes in nice clean pristine condition. Then I notice that not one of them has a seat bag, or for that matter any kind of item holding container. Both have nice helmets and proper cycling attire clipless pedals included. No frame pumps, and carbon bottle cages holding bottles of smart water. The wife didn't know much about bikes or cycling and the husband sounded bike savy but didn't have the slightest idea how to patch a tire. Now I'm sure this isn't overly uncommon but I couldn't help but think about how strange it was to have such expensive bikes and not have any of the cycling necessities; left my scratching my head the in confusion the rest of the day.

On Saturday I was going down a wide open road with big fields either side. Up ahead was a Toyota Avensis parked on the side of the road, and two Indian looking guys had got out and were dumping something or digging something up in the field. As I looked over they held up a camera or phone or something and started shouting HELLO! HELLO! Pretty sure they were up to something they shouldn't have been.

A few months back, on our typical long-ish route for the week (~50mi), we spotted 4-5 wild hogs in the middle of the road.. We stopped, yelled a bit to see if they would move off. After a few minutes it looked as though we'd have to turn back.. luckily a car came around that time and they finally scattered.. we booked it thru there just in case

I witnessed the opposite on a picnic table along side a trail in Normal, IL a few years ago. Gal sprawled out on a picnic table and the guy, well, you get the rest.

Road riding through a remote area outside of Sparks, NV with a friend in 1992 we found a guy in a powered paraglider hanging from a utility pole who said he had been hanging there for an hour or so and no one had seen him. Appaerently he had collided with the pole while trying to avoid getting entangled in the cables, but he had just managed to get himself even more tangled up very close to the top of the pole. Since none of us had a cell phone back in those days I rode back into Sparks to call for help while my friend stayed with the "pilot" and luckily I ran into a Nevada Highway Patrol just as I appraoched town.
He called for a rescue squad and firetruck and then very kindly offered to put my bike in his truck and give me a ride back to where the paraglider was hanging, but when he caught first sight of the guy hanging from the pole he just busted up laughing. I would guess that it was about an another hour from the time I headed back to Sparks and the firetruck showed up, and the guy in the paraglider was was looking pretty exhausted from hanging from the pole with that large prop on his back.
Another time several of us found a guy in a sailplane sitting by the side of the road outside of Minden, NV where he was apparently competing in an event when his wing began to "flutter" so he landed on the highway to avoid the possibility of crashing, but he had a radio so his ground grew were already on their way to pick him up.

I saw this while driving but it involves a bike... Saw a young woman riding a bike on US1 in Key West with her infant (less than 1 yr old) somehow strapped onto the bike in a little seat. It was not a tow-behind trailer - this seat was mounted either on a rack behind the seat or on the top tube somehow (can't remember which). Now I don't have kids, but if I did, there is NO WAY I would carry an infant on a bike...one crash and that baby is dead. US1 in Key West is not the safest place to ride a bike either...it's a fairly busy road with stop lights and side streets, a high percentage of drivers are tourists who don't know the roads, and an above average number of drivers who have recently had too much to drink.

I saw a guy riding hands off handlebars since he was working on his ipad. Wish I got a pic.
