Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Go with the one that is most comfortable for you to ride. Everybody is different.

Your post reminded me of the time my wife wanted a fur coat.
We spent 8 hours looking and she could not choose one.

Red and White bikes are faster.

There is no right or wrong answer to your question. Pick whichever one is most comfortable or is from the shop that you like. Make sure the LBS you buy from can fit you properly.

You can't go wrong with any of these but to me the Caad 10 5 is very expensive ($1600) for an aluminum 105 bike if you can even find one. The Caad 8 is a much better buy at about a grand.

You must be Canadian!
Norco,Opus,Devinci. Most people(other than Canadians) have no idea these giys make road bikes.
Try them out & choose the bike thwt fits, & feels the best to you.

I really want a Cervelo R5 as my 1st CF bike, but might consider a
Not many people have them, & i can get a very good deal on a frameset from the factory. Odds are I'll end up with a Norco, I like being different.

Thanks for all the reply.

I still hesitate on the choice but I will probably go for a test drive tuesday
for the Caad 10 5 and the norco CRR3 because for 1400$ a carbon bike his quite a good price.
The question still remaining is should I go for a lower quality carbon frame or a high quality aluminium frame ?

Thanks in advanced.

The one with the best paint job.

Seriously. Get the one you like looking at the best. If you don't like how it looks, you won't ride it as much.

There's a lot of love on these forums for Caads. I have one. I don't think it is that great. And I think the new Allez is really going to give it a run for its money.

No matter how nice the bike looks, if it doesn't feel right, nothing will make you want to ride it.
If I couldn't ride that "pretty" bike for more than 2-3 hours what good is it for me? Buy a fixie instead.
Go for a serious test ride with these bikes, & choose the one that feels the best.

If I was going to put together a list of desirable bikes, I wouldn't list a single one of those on your list.

I noticed no one has asked what type of riding do you plan to do the most?
This could help make the decision easier too.

I chose a lower quality CF frame over a high quality alloy, only after riding both, back to back. Again, everyone has different needs, so a nice alloy frame might be perfect for you. Only way to know is by taking a test drive....

I have not ridden a CAAD 10. But I rode the CAAD 8 and the Spec Allez. I thought the Allez was much better than the 8. I would look at hte 10 and the Allez. The 8 wasn't bad mind you. But the Allez was just more smooth and handled better for me. Also the Allez was a lot less harsh than the 8. Ride them all and take the one that feels the best.

I have one and was shocked at how it was laterally stiff yet vertically compliant.
