Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

2011 Cervelo R3 or 2012 Trek Madone 5.5?

I am 95% sure I will end up buying one of these bikes next week. The Cervelo R3 has SRAM Rival and is $2720. The Madone has SRAM Force and is $3300. I am also going to ride a 2011 Cervelo RS with Rival for $2400. All three bikes are brand new and I plan on riding all three before I buy one. Any input would be really appreciated, I want to make the right decision. Thanks.

Ride 'em, then ride again.

Your bawdy body will tell you which; will you listen?

...it's telling you to try the 2011 S2 and get Decent Wheels, DA!!

I'm agreeing with Spidey. As far as I know, both have a limited lifetime warranty on the frames, so no worries there. Ride them to see which you like better, and go for the one with the better wheelset.
