It's definately an anchor screw. I'm certain they didn't put it there by mistake. Did you blow out a tendon when you fractured your arm? They might have used that screw to anchor a piece of heavy suture to the bone to help repair a torn elbow tendon and make it more stable (the suture won't show up on an x-ray, only bone and metal). Usually those screws are used to anchor suture or wire to the bone in a spot where there is nothing else to attach it to. And they should be left in. I can't tell for sure, I'm just speculating...but I don't think you need to worry about it.
You can just wait until your surgeon gets back to ask him about it. It's nothing to panic over.

I searched online and usually they fix the torn tendon (biceps) by anchoring to the radius......but as you can see in my case, they are anchoring on humerus, what kind of tendon that they might fix through this method?

Thank you, so it's suppose to be there and has a purpose, right? if so I don't have to worry about it, right?

Dude, I can't believe they did that to you!! That's a CIA tracker implant. Those "prongs" are the antennas, and the electronics are packed inside the body of the device. This thing will keep track of you where ever you go. You need to get a knife and dig it out yourself because the doctor will deny they did anything like that, or tell you it's something not to worry about that it's used for this or that. DON'T BELIEVE THEM!! It's a conspiracy man. The only way you're going to get that out is to dig it out yourself. But do it quickly.

I'm with the alien implant crowd.
Or maybe it is a drywall screw and the idea is that someone will hang heavy art from your arm.
Whatever it is .... you're going to die. You know that, right?

Isn't it possible that after hanging some heavy art at your doctor's office and leaving behind a few drywall screws, your surgeon, or one of the assistants, accidentally grabbed the wrong set of screws, and inserted them into your body?

This is the most plausible explanation. Trust me, I'm a doctor, I promise.

@ OP:
Look @ it this way...
@least you have a good place to hang your bike when your not using it.
Not only will you always have your eyes on it, you probaly won't need a lock, or chain either.
When you talk to your doc, ask him where we can get them for the 41!!!

First, OK maybe it is the elbow.
Second, the US health care is the finest in the world. Period. Sure, it's expensive...but it is the best in the world.
Third, coming to a bike forum to get medical advice is dumb. WTF do we know? Just because you broke it riding a bike doesn't mean we have a clue about fixing an elbow.
Fourth, if you are that concerned, go to a hospital and ask to speak with someone...take your X-rays and ask for an explanation.
