Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Help finding SRAM part

I had a problem yesterday and one of the pulleys and cage on my SRAM red rear derailleur is broke. Here's the part number for the cage. The pulleys are easy but finding the cage has been difficult. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Part#11.7515.020.000

pic of damage

ouch. the cage should come as a kit with pulleys and bolts but good luck finding one. reach out to a sram dealer and try to order it by the part #. that's your best bet with sram replacement parts.

If you go to a bike shop that's an authorized SRAM dealer, with the part number they should be able to order one. However, if it were me, I'd go ahead and replace the entire der. It could be bent or damaged as well.

I'm going to borrow one from a friend and take the broken one to the shop and see what they say, thanks.

If I could ask, how did that happen to the der? I agree that there may be more unseen damage but seeing what the shop has to say is a good move. Hope you get it sorted one way or another.

It might have something to do with the fact that I switched from an 11-23 cassette to an 11-28 for the Horrible Hundred and did not ensure the chain was correct length. I completely spaced doing anything but adjusting the rear der.
