The Good deals thread!!

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

The Good deals thread!!

maybe this has been done before but if not, lets start a thread for good deals found on the internet. it can be time consuming combing thru bike sites for interesting finds so if you come across a useful one, let the board know. it can be new stuff or even a really good craigslist bike...

here is a good one i found if you live around portland

I already had a separate thread for it, but my latest deal was a Specialized Dolce and a Scott CR-1 Team for $400. Not each, that was for the pair. Craigslist can be great.

It's a great idea for a thread. Much cleaner for the forum than having the random PSAs for good deals. I tried to start one over a year ago and it got locked in less than a day for some reason.

They have a deal thread in stickied in the SS/FG forum that I check out every once in a while. I've purchased saddles, clothing and some components super cheap because of sales that have been posted there!

Nashbar should make this thread every week. They always have some kind of deal going on. Right now it's free shipping if you spend $25.

They have the slowest shipping I've experienced in awhile though. I always feel like I get over-charged for shipping with them and then it takes two weeks to get here. (Think it was like $8 to ship a pair of shorts and socks.)

+1

I've stopped ordering from them because lately the shipping is super slow and has always been expensive. I've been buying a lot from bikebling.com lately (an LBS out in Escondido, CA)

I paid for two day shipping from them one time. They did ship it two days, unfortunately they waited several days to ship it.

November Bicycles has their annual wheel pre-order sale. Starts @ $785 for full carbon 38 or 50mm tubular wheelsets (upgrades available). I just pre-ordered my clinchers with Chris King r45 hubs and CX-Ray spokes all in with shipping for around $1400 sub 1370g for the pair.
