Fellas, I am all caught up. If I missed anything or transposed numbers, I blame all the Egg Nog. Will be more active this week in trying to get 2014 started so you can all maintain your own sheets.

Thanks for running this thread this past year - it was a great motivator for me, except the last two months, haha

All done! Thanks to all who stayed with it throughout the year. Hope 2014 is injury-free and there are many miles to come.
I am hoping this weekend to have the 2014 sheet all set up for individual updates. Participation would depend on interest and willingness to use a Google account.
Thoughts?

I'm in as well - the top 4 riders in '13 had more than twice my miles so I better step it up in '14! I apologize to the wife and kids in advance for being gone most weekends...

RT, I'm in. Thanks for doing this for us. It definitely helps to motivate me to get out on the bike some days. Got to do better on the weight

I didn't participate last year, but if it's not too late, I'd love to get in for this year.

Excellent. I suggest we move forward with Google accounts. No one needs to sign up for the GMail, you just need to associate any existing e-mail account with the new Google account. Next step in the testing is for someone to use a non-Google account to sign up for one (don't we all have Spam collecting e-mail addresses now?). I have tested it with my AOL account, the process being relatively simple.
I will draw up a simple procedure for getting to the right place and following the right steps. It'll work well and save me a lot of time :-)
Volunteers?
ALSO: Spread the word - I am considering making a post for it to see who wants in.

I'm in. Finally getting back on the bike. Missed last years goal but setting the bar high, for me anyway, this year.

UPDATE!
I should have the new sheet ready by Weds. If you wish to participate, please go to Google and link an e-mail account to it.
Here is where to do so. Once you do this, please send me your Google account name (bikeforums41@gmail.com) so I can assign your sheet and allow you access to edit. Your account information will not leave this Inbox. I will respond and let you know you are good to go. It's been a busy holiday, but I think we're going to all have a great 2014.

Alright guys, I have copied the new sheet over, but it is time consuming clearing out the old data. Will be nuking the erroneous ones no one used last year and adding as we go. Three requests so far, leaving work now. Will take care of it at home and get you three set up.
Almost there!

Fondo, I'll need you to sign up for a Google account if you'd like to participate. The data entry is too much for my schedule this year, but I will be maintaining the sheet otherwise.

Cleaning up the sheet now, but it looks like those with permission are working. Will be better about implementing changes and solutions.
That is all.

Does one need a google account? I thought it was possible to edit using an external account. I do similar funtions with google apps for other entities. For example, I update a (google) ride calendar for the Western Pennsylvania Wheelmen Club using a personal email address. Please confirm. The last thing I need is yet another account for which to remember a password (memory failing).

Using the link provided earlier in the thread, you can link a non-Google e-mail to a Google account and forego the GMail. Once you do this, let me know. It just takes a minute.

So far so good, at least on the tracking sheet front, not so much my miles or weight. Trainer duties only right now.

I fear this will languish if this stays as 2013.
It needs fresh blood , and legs, as well as those who have already bought in.
It needs those who have need or want the carrot, or just the wkly notch on their saddle, or any measure.
The new concept is great, just needs the fresh draw of the new year, the possibilities for each of us.
It's what any ride can be.
It needs the way you first presented the idea back in the beginning ...
and maybe a new thread for 2014... if the mods can see the way.
