Steel Road Frame with BB30 or PF30

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Other than the All City Mr. Pink, do any exist?

That's the only one I can think of.

Honestly I don't get the point. For carbon, sure. Aluminum race bike? Ok.

For steel threads are a perfectly fine system, and I'd want a steel bike to be a bit more future-proof. Steel is not the material I'd choose if I wanted ultimate stiffness anyway.

I'm planning on buying a Mr. Pink but am looking for a backup option in case funds don't allow.

Problem is that I already received my groupset with a PF30 BB. I wouldn't mind buying a BB30 bottom bracket(since it's the same crank), but I'd rather not deal with selling and buying a whole crankset if possible.

Custom , any thing you wish .. and can get up the money..

Many small builders make steel frames.

I doubt steel threaded BB's are going to Vanish, though BB 30 may be a passing fad,
like Octalink.. and Isis.

Yes, but he's specifically looking for something cheaper than the Mr. Pink, which is an $800 frameset.

If you read the Waltworks post press fit bb shells are more of a production bike thing. A lot of small builders are not well equipped to do it. He doesn't say it in so many words but he's doesn't want to trash a frame he's spent hours building and replace it on his dime/time.

Honestly I think QBP just needed one more feature to differentiate the Mr. Pink from its other steel road bike offering the Surly Pacer and that's the best they could come up with.
