Back a long time ago the best place to buy 105 parts was performance using 20% discount. I don't know what their pricing is today but I could buy a 105 Rear derailleur for $24 with 20% off.
You might want to shop else where for your shifters though.

IMO one key will be to find a place where you can get EVERYTHING. You can no doubt find this item here for $5 cheaper and that item there for $7 cheaper but once you do that for every item and buy them all from different places you get KILLED on all the extra shipping you just paid. Find a place where most of the items are close in price and maybe they even match other's prices on things too. The more items you can get from one source the less you will pay in shipping, optimal would be to place just one order.
Oh the other thing to think about is if some place has the item in stock. SOOOO many times I see something I want at Performance but it is out of stock. A lower price is no good if they don't HAVE the item.

Problem with Performance is that they are out of stock on many of these items. I do like Performance and am a TP member so I prefer to use them when I can but I am finding a LOT of out of stock items when I look lately.

For 553 dollars I also get my handlebar, stem, headset, seatpost, and saddle. Not to mention it's a 20 spd, I prefer a triple up front.

Hey TRD- I've never been to Knoxville, so nuff ain't said. A simple question, a simple answer. We can't help you if we don't have all the facts. As for getting the best deal on your parts list- seems like a whole bike would be abetter deal than a la carte, unless you already have a frame. In that case, i would get what you can from a local shop so you can get some advice if you run into trouble.

Nothing wrong with 105 as long as it's much cheaper than Veloce set up.
Whoaaaaaaa!!!!!!!! I just looked at that parts list and I see Fizik arione for $44 and thomson seatpost for $24? Damn, that must be the wholesale price the bike shop pays

Can you PM me a link to the Arione Ti for $44.00 please. I am looking at purchasing the same saddle for $100.00 (if I like it) when I get fitted tomorrow (sunday).
Thanks
