Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Yep you're seeing it right. The black and white one with just a little red is much cheaper. Totally worth the $63.

I had these bibs and used it for a season. It's developed a hole Too bad because I think I'd choose it over my Castelli Endurance bib. The fit on the Izumi's just perfect.

I'd still recommend it but not for more than $100.

The shorts version is $80 for the Black/all sizes as of Jan 25th, 3am:

For today - Sunday January 26. Looks like Nashbar is getting rid of their 2013 sram red drivetrain stuff. Shifters are 369.99, RD is 214.99 and then they take an extra 20% off in your cart. If you're looking for these, that's a pretty good deal.

ProBikeKit.com has a discount code running now that gets approximately 10-16% off your order depending on how close you get to the discount thresholds. The discount is posted right on the front page of the site and says it runs through February 4. Says "Normal Exclusions Apply," which isn't always clear what that means but in the past few months some (not all) components have been excluded (e.g. I've noticed in the past that Shimano shifters/derailleurs would get excluded, but chains & cassettes still qualify for discounts).

$10 off $80+ use code JAN5US
$15 off $160+ use code JAN10US
$45 off $395+ use code JAN30US
$125 off $780+ use code JAN80US

Hey All,

Im looking for a good deal on some SPD's. Sold my bike a few months ago and wasn't intending on selling my Shimano 5700 105 clipless pedals...but to get the deal done they had to go.

Anyway looking for another set of shimano pedals at a good deal!

I just got some 105 carbon pedals from nashbar for less than $70. Looks like the deal is gone now though.

Competitivecyclist.com coupon code:

Use code LOYAL for:

$20 off your order of $150–$299.99

$50 off your order of $300–$499.99

$100 off your order of $500 or more

"Limited time" and single use coupon. Doesn't seem to have any restrictions, I picked up a few 6870 pieces without issue.

picked up the PI P.R.O. Bibs on Amazon in the (unwanted I guess) blue and yellow for $58. I would have gone all black, but for $58 bucks I couldn't go wrong!

Wow, that would be a crazy deal. I purchased my 105 Carbon set back in November for $109 shipped to me brand new in box. I thought that was a killer deal for the carbons.

Same ones I got, they're awesome. Then I got the red and white black ones for not much more. Great deal as far as I'm concerned.

Nash bar has the Ultegra 6800 pedals for $119. Called Back country to price match. BC price $119 with 2 day ship. Nashbar price $135 with ground (tax and shipping) and $152 for 2 day. This is exactly why I don't buy squat from Nashbar.

So if you are looking for carbon pedals, that price is pretty good.

Thanks! Just went to nashbar and the still had them for 119 plus another 20% off for Presidents' Day. That's cheap for 6800 pedals!

Yep, drops it down to $95. Shipping is $8. I would have to pay tax. So it works out to $110 for me. Still a great deal.

Nashbar's fine print says the 20% does not apply to "offer excludes" Shimano. KPS88. Did I miss something? If the discount does not apply to Shimano how did you get the 20% discount?

i just added them to my cart along with a pair of shimano shoes and added the promo code. It took the 20% off and brought the shipping from 21 down to 8 dollars.

Looks like it only excludes some Shimano. I was playing around with building the 6800/6870 kit and it applies to brakes and crank that I had in the cart. I didn't, however, apply to the Dura-Ace crank.
