Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Ribble is doing a big groupset sale, Shimano, SRAM and Campy. Complete Ultegra 6800 package for $555-575, which usually the lowest prices I see there for that set are ~$600.

I think you did the conversion wrong or something... cheapest 6800 group is

432.95 British Pound Sterling equals
676.74 US Dollar

You must be new to Ribble's website. In the upper right, change the currency to USD, change delivery location to United States. VAT drops out and prices go down...and you don't need to figure out what your bank's exchange rate is either or pay fees (if you CC has them) as they'll charge in USD too.

Just saw this on Performance site:

TOTALLY FREE SHIPPING On Your ENTIRE ORDER With Any Park Tool Purchase

The also have a note at the top of the page saying $20 off any order of $99 or more. (Dec, 25 only)

Free shipping could save a few bucks if you were thinking about something "heavy" like a stand or car rack.

whaat... it's insane how big difference additional taxes in Europe make! i was looking for that Garmin and in .EU i found it cheapest in Ireland ( Garmin Edge 500 with Premium HRM and Cadence - Computers - GPS & Heart Rate Monitors - Cycle SuperStore ) and still it's twice as expensive!

I have no use at all for that cassette but I'm so tempted, because it shows up as 39.99 in the cart and 91% off is my idea of a good time.

I just checked again and the price is the same, but both items are "backordered" so you can't order them anyway.

The rims have many great reviews, I didn't find anything on the whole set. The hubs and spokes are probably on the heavy side (maybe brass nipples?), as bikehubstore's Pacenti kit is 1450g with the same rims and laser spokes, AL nipples.
BHS has coupon codes on their homepage FYI

I would go with the vuleta slr wheelset from nashbar if you're worried about quality. Plenty of people swear by the and they come in at sub 1500g w/ about the same price tag.

Except they are significantly narrower and have a lower profile. No idea about his hubs but apparently they are made in the USA. Kirk Pacenti is also active on a couple of forums so you can ask him yourself.

I also found the 10$ shipping funny

I think they should bump up the price by 10$ and offer free shipping. Seems to work with my ebay stuff

but 300$ is a good deal regardless. I have been interested in a wider wheel set. I'll keep these in mind when I get things rolling again.

The listing only mentions 10 speed compatibility. If thats not a problem it looks like a good deal.

I have a wheelset with the Pacenti SL23's on my cyclocross bike and its been great. I switched to wide rims 2 years ago and wouldn't want to go back to narrower rims. My other wheelsets are 23mm wide HED's.

I emailed Pacenti asking what spokes and no answer yet.
I went ahead and ordered the 10 speed wheels, should be here in a week.

If you need 11 speed, bikehubstore's Pacenti kit is 1450g with the same rims and laser spokes.
BHS has a 10% coupon code on their homepage, so their kits are a bit more than the pacenti 10 speed wheels
