Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

This is a nice deal for a decent jersey. I have a couple C'dale Jerseys and they are pretty nice.

Bike I got BH Tiagra is now 600 on price point. Might have to have it put together if your not capable, only came with bb/rear derailer done for me. So 660 shipped if you can build, ~740 if you have a shop build it for you.

They also have a litespeed cf ultegra for 1.3k and a DB 105 carbon for 1.2k. Trying to see if I can pull off a silly trade in for one of these but I doubt it will happen. Anyways all good deals if you're starting out and have an idea of your size.

Ribble has 10% coupon code for this weekend. And groupsets are already ridiculously cheap before the discount:

9 Speed Sora $156
10 Speed Tiagra $183
11 Speed 105 $249
11 Speed Ultegra $391
11 Speed Dura Ace $805

equally good deals on SRAM and Campy. If those aren't hot deals I don't know what is. I might just stock up on groups for the future!

Thanks for the tip, although it looks like groupsets are excluded:

Last night Campy Super Record EPS groupset was over $1000 cheaper. I was dreaming a bit last night.

Strava has the new Garmin speed/cadence sensor set for sale for premium members only - $35 + shipping, which was $40 total for me. That's the best discount I've seen on those to date.

I wonder how many folks ordered during the 'Ribble groupset' glitch...and wonder what they'll do about it.

I sure hope they honor the posted price. I'm all about morals and ethics but none of us did anything wrong. It was their bust. I feel anyone that ordered during that time should pay what was asked.

You're welcome! I've been putting it off, but between the price and a $25 refund from something I returned this week, it felt like too good a deal to pass up.

It's no longer listed, I'm guessing it sold out. It was on the Sale page.

Yeah, it's gone from the sale page. I guess they sold what they had and that was it.

Schwinn Dual Sport GTX Bike - $150 (used to be $300)

Kmart.com

When you need a bike that is able to handle the abuse and demands of a professional cyclist, the Schwinn 700c GTX Bike won't let you down. Other bicycles may make fine choices for a relaxing ride around the neighborhood or pleasant family outing, but a serious ride needs to be engineered to exacting performance specifications. From the crumbling dirt and jutting roots of rugged trails to the obstacles and dangers of rush-hour traffic, this GTX bike will get you through it all in one piece.

ProBikeKit has a declining discount day today on ProBikeKit.com (had it on the co.uk site yesterday). Started at 20% this morning, looks like it's already down to 18%, maybe 16% very soon. Some usual exclusions...complete bikes, groupsets, Garmin, Shimano wheelsets (often other brands are included in the discount).

For the Platinum 20% discount that just expired from the previous post, strangely I received this offer for their UK site and it would zero out the discount whenever trying to pay in USD. I switched to Euro and used my credit card that has no foreign transaction fees and a good exchange rate to get the same price and 20% discount.

BTW: this is expired now anyway, but you had to actually click the link in the email to activate the discount. It was specifically tied to the email recipient, so while the code was generic, you had to use the special encoded link in your email to use the discount.

Well, I tried to be nice. That's silly, I guess I could have fwded the email to someone. I think everytime I ever ordered anyting from PBK, I found an online coupon to use anyway.

[h=2]Merlin's Fall from Grace[/h]
It is with heavy heart that I report Merlin's Fall. This is especially painful for me since I have raved about them numerous times on all the "castigate PBK" threads on RBR forums..

They are now following PBK's example and their "Free" shipping is now being sent and delivered by UPS.

I placed a US$277 order about a week ago and it showed up COD US$34 for "Brokerage Fees".

I contacted their customer service and pointed out that when I checked out, the order said clearly and unambiguously that it would be shipped by "Spring Parcel"--which I have used many times before and through which delivery is made by the USPS (no extra fees).

Their reply was basically Well, we've changed it now; and you're out of luck.

I'm going to refuse the parcel today. Merlin says they will charge me for all the shipping, maybe something like $80+.

I'm going to open a Paypal dispute today. Maybe in 2 months or so I'll get my money back.

So consider yourselves warned!

These jackets are form fitting and super lightweight. They are 3 layer fabrics and are packable. 240gr (8.4 oz). Can be folded into its own zipper back pocket. 2 chest and one neck/back vent. Fabric is like Gortex but is a Showers Pass proprietary fabric. Waterproof and breathable. Details can be found at Showers Pass website(https://www.showerspass.com/products/elite-pro-jacket)

I am a 38" waist and 41 chest but not very fit. I just barely fit a large. Ordered an XL since the vents puckered when opened on the large. I am Partial to the Goldenrod.

Look here for many other steals
