Bikefitting data: does this make sense? Odd proportions / long torso

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Bikefitting data: does this make sense? Odd proportions / long torso

Let me know your thoughts on this... Especially the top tube and stem.

Thanks!

Looks pretty good to me. It is a bit confusing as they seem to use centimeters in one place
and millimeters in another. But, by using an online metric converter you can make sense
of things. The only thing I can't find is a stand over measurement. Have they shown you any bikes that would fit? My measurements are similar to yours and I haven't found a modern bike that would fit.

When I got this done, the guy doing it asked me if I was Dutch or Finnish after he measured me. (I'm half Finnish). He said those two backgrounds produce a lot of long torsos.

I just bought a Ridley Compact and am going to need a 140mm stem to make things line up!

I have a pretty comfortable bike except I need a longer stem.
I'm German/Irish, Dutch and German being similar is where
my long torso came from.

Just hoping the long stem doesn't hurt handling... Will certainly look funny.

Should be okay, will put more weight on the front, will slow down response at walking speeds. Will feel more stable at speed. You'll be loving descents and corners. I find a 12 cm stem to be about the minimum length for a bike to feel right.

Also depends on what bars you use. Compact drop bars 14 cm stem is like an 11 cm stem with regular bars. If you use regular bars then all the above applies.

I use a 12 cm stem with regular bars, am going to try a 14 cm stem with compact (technically I should use a 15 cm stem for the compact - it's 3 cm shorter reach than the regular bars).

Also although my inseam is about 28" (someone asked so I measured - it's not 29" like I thought) and I ride a sloping top tube 40 cm seat tube frame (with a 75.5 deg seat tube) I have a 56.5 cm top tube. Effectively it'll be about the same length as your top tube but you're 5'10" and I'm 5'7".

Wait let me put a measurement in mm so that I use every possible combination of different ways of measuring.

Thanks! Sounds like better handling, if anything.

Current bar is an Ergonova, is this considered "compact"? Reach is 77mm.

40cm?? What frame?

To clarify - the 40 cm seat tube is the c-c measurement of a size S Giant frame that I had. I really liked the feel of that frame's seat tube height, where the top tube was, etc, so I wanted to model my frame after that. I liked the front end of the SystemSix I had so used that for the front end. The fit stuff in between (long torso top tube) was what I really got custom. That and the shortest possible head tube (2 cm shorter would have been better).

Your bar is considered a compact bar - typically they have about 80 mm reach. This is sort of standard now. A regular bar will be more like 110 mm which is what my current bars have for reach. I want to go to compact bars because they're readily available and I like the shape of the drops. I don't want to pull my hands closer to me so I've gone out and bought a 14 cm stem.

My frame is a custom Tsunami Bikes frame, an aluminum frame that costs about $750. I have two of them

And the first with shorter stays (I have yet to build it):
