What do you guys think of this top tube bag I just bought?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Somebody else said it would but IMO the Note2 is a massive (ha, humor there) improvement over the S3, which is also a terrific phone. The battery life on my note with a stock battery is unbelievable for a smart phone.

Don't see the need for a bag... but you use electrical tape to attach supplies to your seat. Nope, don't need no stinking bag.

LOL! But there's a certain degree of truth to that: I find that every time I've tried to ride with a "bento box"-style toptube-mounted bag, my knees hit the bag whenever I get out of the saddle.

Top tube bag not for me. Looks fine though for your bike.
Funny you asked. I've just started noticing these little TT bags for smart phone storage find their way onto the TTs of a couple of the hard core racers and former hard core racers in my riding circles. Seems to work for them. I don't want anything else on the frame besides bottles/cages, mini-pump, and the medium size saddle bag that I use. Fortunately, my older cell phone fits easily into my saddle bag stuffed w/ 2 tubes, a multi tool and 2 levers. I also don't want anything in jersey except for a Clif bar or two.

You could spray some WD 40 on your knees to cut down on chafing. My dear departed grandmother had a splinter of wood driven into / through her elbow by Hurricane Celia. Years later, after it healed, she said it still gave her pain. She swore that spraying WD 40 on it helped ease the pain.

I still would not use the stuff on my bike though, except maybel to flush gunk out of an inoperative brifter.

Would you be so kind as to do a video review of the bag? Just a couple minutes? There seems to be nothing on the internets.

That's why I like the Specialized Vital bag, it has magnetic closures, makes it easy to open & close with gloves on.
At $27 it's a bit spendy but it serves a specific function for me ("Fuel" holder).

Not much to say about it except it's real handy for my snacks when I'm riding.
Here's a link to the Specialized web site, https://www.specialized.com/us/en/ftr...ags/vital-pack

I, too have the leg clearance problem, while standing. The strap attachment on my saddle bag broke yesterday. Still had the strap, but it was no longer attached to the bag. To get home, I strapped the bag to my TT; tried with it on top and below the tube, but in both cases, my knees and calves scraped when standing. Come to think of it, they scrape against the TT, so virtually any TT bag is out, for me.

Your trolling comment was not nearly witty enough to dredge up a 3-month-old thread that had basically run it's course.

OK - I used to have one but I began to hate how it always brushes my leg when biking standing up on hills and what have you. When I finally decided to take it off, I had scratches on the top tube where the bag used to rest. Now I just use a LEZYNE CADDY SACK and just place it at the middle jersey pocket (1000x better IMHO).

Pockets cause unacceptable drag on the bike in a TT position and it only gets worse on the swim.

However, any self-respecting triathlete (insert joke here, I know where I am) would use a DarkSpeedWorks.

Actually as of this weekend I now keep a piece of duct tape in the bag as well as the rest of my emergency kit. Almost 4 months later and I still hate how it looks but I won't take it off because it's so incredibly useful to me. When I'm in a town 50mi away the smartphone compartment comes in so useful it's not funny due to Google Maps. Also I keep all of the following in the bag for each and every ride: Phone, wallet, spare tube, string mini-backpack, multitool w/ chain tool on it, tire levers, patch kit, sizable pocket knife, lighter, zip ties, asthma inhaler, and a few allergy pills.

All of this plus I always have my map right below me showing me exactly where I am at any time. Yes, it's large but I just can't ride long distances without it now.

Also, LONG LIVE MY THREADS MWAHAHA!
