Shifting gears with the mind? My bike shifts itself without even engaging my mind, no electrodes, just a sloppy derailleur ... now if Prius would make it pedal with just my mind I'd be all over that.

Life imitates the 41, there was a thread a while back about bikes of the future and someone mentioned shifting by thoughts. Hmmm, suppose Toyota has someone reading BF and the 41 for ideas?

The Prius is the best example I can think of of the concept of misapplied technology. This bike seems to be more of the same.

One of this days A s s shifting will be created, two short farts to go up, one short fart going down. One long one to shift to the large chainring and tight the cheeks to go from the large to the small chainring.

Interesting concept, however looking at the video at 2:19 shows me that their QC is a bit "iffy" to say the least! Such shoddy workmanship would never get past the inspection in my shop!! (…and it's on The Net! World-Wide!!!)

Pretty soon they'll have a bike that you can send out on the road by itself while you sit on your arse at home thinking about riding.

It would be nice to have the brakes work by though also, but it might be interesting until you learn how to feather your thoughts!

For my part, I tend to like bicycling because I don't have to think! This seems like a step back to me. My brain was never my best feature anyway...

Thought shifting will be difficult for fickle minded people.
