Marker pen on carbon decals - crazy idea?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Marker pen on carbon decals - crazy idea?

I've got a new carbon bike, black frame but too many white go-faster decals for my liking. Does anyone have any ideas for loosing these? They're under the clear coat. How about black marker pen? Thanks...

A nice idea but there is a lot to cover and I don't want to double the weight of the frame!

Do you plan to ever sell the frame? If so then do not use a marker on it. If you are going to keep it until it explodes then go for it.
