The SLR01 is a great bike. I built mine up with new red 2 months ago and love it.
The race machine has the same geometry, but it will ride a little different. The Team machine has thin seat stays that are pretty compliant making it very comfortable over bumps. Not as plush as something like a specialized roubaix, but very comfortable for a race bike. The race machine has bigger stays like the Road racer. It will be stiffer and less compliant. It should handle really well like the team machine.

Another universal truth reinforced by the OP belief these are truly sexy frames....there's no accounting for some people's taste

SLR01 it is! Now where can I get a cheap one. Do they come with a standard English BB(GXP)?

I have two. 2011 has BB30. 2012 has BB386. In the 2012 I have BB386 to GXP adapter and GXP crank.
Also agree that these would not necessarily qualify as sexy (though there is usually a lid for every pot) but they do function quite well for my purposes.

Are you looking for a complete bike, or just a frame. And also what size are you looking for? They tend to run large, so a size 50 is more like a 52 or 53 in many other brands. And whats your price range?
Some sizes are easier to find than others. Also frames for mechanical groupsets are harder to find on closeout than electronic ones.

I want the SL01 Ui2 that CC has. Just can't quite justify it.

Can't even hit you on any picture etiquette faults, except for using a classy outside wall instead of a white garage door.
Thing is, I think it's more important for me to get a powermeter and maybe some aero wheels.

I think I'll get a powermeter eventually. I did have a set of Zipp 404 but didn't like them. Therefore, I went back to low profile wheels. In this case, decided to go with the C24 9000.

Critically, I'm a triathlete. They're more important for me than roadies, typically.
