I don't always ride my bike for purely exercise purposes. Sometimes I'll lift weights or go on a treadmill.

Sometimes it's fun just to cruise around. Sometimes the touring shoes are nice.

I wonder if we could have some comments on the relative comfort of road shoes and more flexible touring / MTB shoes after a hard 100 road miles? Seems to me that my feet are less sore with the stiffer road shoes because my feet have deformed less with the better support of the stiff road sole, but I would be interested to hear what experience others have had.
