    New to cycling, help!

    Hey all,
My family has just recently got into cycling and I am currently trying to find a bike to ride with them. I am not looking to spend a ton because I am not certain about it yet. I found a bike on craigslist, but the seller has provided very little information. I know that it is a Nashbar, and about 20-25 years old. I will include the link with the picture. I do not know much about this brand so I am hesitant about buying it. Does anyone know more about this specific brand or can tell what model it is.

    Thanks for your help!

My first impression - keep looking. THat bike isn't even worth the $225.

Just take your time and keep looking around, your patience will reward you. There are many better bikes around.

Can't really identify the frame - can the seller tell you more about the make? Lack of info shoud be a warning signal.

Search for online "fit calculators" to help determine the right size for you.
A "great deal" is worthless if it's the wrong size.

Thanks, I was leaning towards it being a bad deal, just wasn't sure! I know it is the right size because he could tell me that but that was about it.

How does he know it's the right size for you?

Looks kinda like GT road frame with the triple triangles. Perhaps rebuilt with Nashbar parts?

I suppose I should have rephrased that. I meant I have been fitted and the seller could tell me what size the bike was. I am not positive it will fit exactly right as I have not tried it out in person
