I've been to the Grand Strand Bicycles in Myrtle Beach if it's a place with kayak and boating stuff also on 501. I needed a mirror and a new Thule rack strap and left there 1 for 2. The guy I dealt with was very nice.
I find Myrtle to be a not very bicycle-friendly place, so please post if you find some nice places to ride.

Riding here is horrible. I'm in north mrytle beach and it feels like I'm on a 7 mile island unless I want to get ran over on highway 17.

I usually ride Ocean Blvd between Atlantic Beach and Cherry Grove and maybe go over to Hillside Dr (lots of stop signs on Hillside, tho). You can go up 65 and turn onto Hill St. then to Little River Neck Rd. down toward the end are some beautiful marsh views. In all, about 20-25 miles of route.

The last several years, I've always ridden by myself. Typically along 17 business. A few times I've ridden with the MB Triathlon Group's Wednesday morning recovery ride. Here are a few of my rides in Myrtle Beach:

17 business, the shoulder isn't all that great and you have cars wizzing by at 55+ mph. If you ride up Ocean Blvd, ride early in the morning and it's not too bad.

Thanks for all the riding info. Riding here isn't the best, but at least I'm getting some miles in. Still trying to find a decent bike shop, need a couple tubes and I split a water bottle. I also like to pick up a shop t- shirt whenever we go on vacation.
