Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Help me upgrade Seatpost/Stem/Bars CAAD10

Hello

New to the forum; bought a new CAAD10 4 Rival 56cm in Barbecue Color spec this season and like the bike a lot. Got a fitting and exchanged a few parts for the fitting with spares; looking to upgrade to some new parts that were swapped for spares. I value performance over weight but wouldn't mind shaving some grams. Generally prefer alloy/aluminum over carbon if there isn't much difference in performance.

Stem/Seatpost/Bars:
I need a 0 set back post, a 110mm 6 degree drop stem +/- a few degrees on the stem and 42cm bars. I would really like all of the parts to match; prefer all wet black or all matte black.

Thanks!

Current Setup:
2013 CAAD10 4 Barbecue Rival
Rival RD
Upgraded Sram Red 2012 Yaw FD
Stock FSA Crank
Stock Fulcrum 7 Wheels
Ritchey Pro 110 6 Degree Alloy Stem
Bontrager VR-C 42cm Bars
Upgraded Saddle: Selle Italia SLR Superflow 130
Planned Upgrades:
Yokozuna Reaction Housing/Cable Set
Fizik Superlight Black Bar Tape

Why not use FSA SL-K parts, as they are the parts offered on the higher-spec 'dales - also on the Pro team bikes - and they match your crankset.

I put an SL-K carbon seatpost on mine, as I had coincidentally had it on an old bike that had been retired. The post looks good and works well. (Apologies for the washed-out phone photo)

cheers

Thomson elite or masterpiece seat post, Ritchey WCS alu stem and bars have served me well.

Thomson seatpost and Thomson stem would be nice. Made in USA, as C'dales once were....

Deda Zero 100 stuff would be my first choice. Light, strong, looks good, not too spendy.

Easton's new EA70 posts and stems look sweet. Too bad the bar in that series has a horrid ergo bend.

I do like the looks of the SLK stuff; certainly would match the crank. Any performance difference between the carbon SLK set versus say the tomson/ritchey alloy set?

Doesn't quite fit the 'ALL matte black', but the Specialized s-works clp multi-stem, 4 degree, allows for +/- 0,2,4,6,8 degree.
