New bike advice
i'm a bike messenger and I was in an accident recently. i'll be coming to some insurance money soon and since Iive already got a proper fixie i'm thinking i wanna build a road bike. i'm lookin for somethin
aggressive,
strong (chro mo n such, not carbon and such)
1000 - 2000 bucks (canadian currency)
what would you suggest??

if your a messenger, working on carbon is stupid. i know for a fact a carbon frame would have been toast about 5 crashes ago.
i don't mind if you only wanna reply to be a dick but it'd be even cooler if you were helpful.

Steel -- there's some nice stuff out there resurging. Off the top of my head, look at all-city (Mr. Pink), Jamis (Satellite and others), Surly Pacer, Raleigh and others...
You might also be able to get something more custom for that price, or something used.
Kona made a great steel bike (Kapu -- I have one that will be going soon), and then there's folks like Gunnar.
