The bike count and components at the Kona Hawaii Ironman says Zipp wheels. But that's for triathletes who have reached the world championship. Not all are professionals who might get theirs free as sponsorship. The rest of them might be just like all of us, more or less. Follow the leader.

Farsports FSC50-CA as everyday clinchers (50MM, alloy braking, ~1,500g, Novatec hubs). I don't weigh very much so I'm easy on wheels but these have been rock solid for thousands of miles. Comfortable too.

ditto. Just wish they'd build faster!

on the plus side, they started shipping Saturday, so hopefully not too much longer, though I am not in the first wave they are building.

Last I heard the rims were on the boat from Taiwan - where did you see that they've started shipping? I had the second-to-last in the pre-order, unfortunately.

on their FaceBook page. Rims arrived on the 24th per an update that day. And one this Saturday says they started shipping. I'm in the pre-order, but not the pre-pre order. So, hoping I get mine by the end of this month. Hard to be patient.

I was figuring I'd only have them for my race on the 28th... if I can have them for the 14th I will be a happy man!

Old Zipp 404s and old Reynolds DV46. Got them lightly used and quite affordable - $500 for the Zipps with tubulars and cassette, $600 for the Reynolds with nearly new tires mounted, three brand new tubulars and new Reynolds brake pads.

on the FB page, Dave replied to someone earlier and said they hope to have the first round finished up "by the 20th or 23rd or somewhere in there". So, unfortunately, that might mean if you're next to last that you won't have them for the 14th. Don't shoot the messenger because, as I said above, I really hope you do have them by then so I can get mine.

I've got Zipp 404s. But if I were buying new today, I would probably get Enve's.
You're just trying to start an argument to show how smart you are.

I am actually still using a set of Rolf Vector Pro wheels from 2002. Very durable and I would purchase a new set of Rolf wheels from their Oregon location.
