Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

So far just the saddle but I'm hoping for a some Zipp 30's this winter. I'm guessing they'll be a little better than the Oval wheels that came with the bike.

Not going to include clipless pedals since they were on the bike initially.

In order from best to worst: 23mm soul 3.0 wheels + 4000S tires, koolstop salmons up front, 7700 chain, full carbon fork with threadless headset. Everything else, new cassette, new crank, saddle, etc has been nice but not a huge difference in performance. 23mm wide wheels however are the bee's knees. Highly recommended.

Same here, then wheels, then changing the 23mm tires to 25mm.

So hard to pick the best one ...

-- going to a mtn bike cassette on my road bicycles
-- going to two-sided pedals (platform on one side, clipless on the other)
-- my Brooks saddles
-- SON dynohub
-- steel fork
-- thudbuster seatpost on the tandem

The rider. I've lost 45 lbs since January 2nd.

Other than that ... 25mm Conti GP4000s for my Surly. Picked up speed w/o sacrificing ride quality.
