Lance Not Banned From RAGBRAI

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

No one really important. He's a pretty strong rider though, I hear.

You know all the stuff with his name and pic on it is like on super clearance right now. I found some honey stinger waffles cheap! They aren't gluten free though.

I mean I guess it looks fun, but I must be missing something. ALC is longer, more climbing, and you're in California. Which is nicer than Iowa. What's the big deal?

No, but it's Sweet Yellow Brazil coffee, so I'll just have 7 cups, name my mug 'Lance' and pretend I'm in Iowa which shouldn't be too hard since I live in corn country.

My vote for funniest quote of the week!

FWIW - Lance will never "win" RAGBRAI. To win - you have get down a minimum of 30 pieces of pie and 5 pork chops on a stick.

Mr. Pork Chop's wares are sold in a paper towel. Not on a stick.

I'm not really from MN. I've just lived here for a while.

Yeah, not sure I'd put that on the event front page. Maybe they felt like the event was getting too crowded and wanted to thin the herd a bit .

I think he can pretty much ride any fondo, timed or otherwise, since they are unsanctioned "race" events.
