Hole in bibs
I have a pair of Louis Garneau Bibs that developed a small hole at a stitch point, that attaches the chamois to the bibs. Any suggestions for a repair. The best thought so far is a small dab of super glue. due to where the hole is I would like to not draw any attention to it. These bibs are 4 rides old and have been hand washed each time per instructions that came with the bibs.

I'd return them. They should be covered under the manufacturer's warranty against defects.
As a side note, I toss my cycling clothes into the clothes washer with the rest of my laundry, and dry them in the dryer on the low-heat setting. All the hoo-ha about hand-wash only and only use special detergent for hand-washing is unnecessary IMO.

Darn it. It won't be pretty but it will hold for awhile. The real problem is that you'll probably get more if it's along the seam.

As for the hole. I'd let it go. If it starts getting worse, I'd patch it.

I have been taken care of by the internet retailer I purchased them from. They just wanted photos and no need to return them. I have nothing but good things to say about the retailer.

No need to be coy about the name of the retailer. Give Backcountry the shout out they deserve. I've bought quite a few things from them so I'm happy to hear that they take care of their customers when the manufacturer will not. I'm friends with isyphoto so that's how I know it was backcountry.

I agree, just bias to the superb textile technology and manufacturing quality of Assos and Castelli. I have had many garments from LG and they just don't hold up as well. Not a snob just appreciate a long lasting product.

I've only had one article of LG clothing (shorts) so I can't really judge a company by one pair of shorts. Nonetheless, I also own shorts and/or bibshorts by Pearl iZumi, Giordana, and Hincapie and the LGs wore out in a few months while the others are still going strong. Add that to the fact that they wouldn't warranty what to me looks like an obvious warranty issue sure isn't making me want to buy any LG clothing.

Don't be so sure. I have an Assos FI Mille bib short that developed exactly the same issue as the OP in only five months of use. I contacted Assos via e-mail, and was shipped a brand new replacement. So, any product can develop Issue(s), it is how the company respond that matters. And Assos was top notch response-wise.

Just whipstitch it perpendicular to the seam. I avoid zig-zag stitching because it creates stress points like this. Flat seams all the way, baby.

I don't but hand washing and that fancy detergent will prolong the life of them. Why put them in the dryer at all? I hang all my cycling clothes after washing them at night there dry by the morning.

Yep return them. And on the subject of cleaning, I wash mine with regular laundry, but I just let them air dry. Not so much for the spandex, but to not dry out the elastic parts like the bottom of the short.

SOLUTION, so far it is working....this is what my Aunt was able to do: I used fray check around the edge of the hole. Let it dry. Then two little stitches with plain old thread but I didn't pull them way tight so it would stretch a little w/o breaking the thread.
