Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Is this worth taking a look at?

I found this on Craigslist yesterday and am trying to decide if it would be worth taking a look at. I've been on the lookout for a new project bike. I already have a FGB (fixed gear), so I would most likely use the frame and rebuild it back up as a geared bike. Just looking for opinions. Thanks in advance to all responders.

I can't see the pictures on my phone. Does it have rear hanger & cable stops ? 500 seems pretty high to me.

Edit, now that I can see, looks like the hanger and shifter bosses are there. But for $500 you could get a decent geared bike ready to ride. To me, that bike is worth $200 tops.

I just emailed the guy about the rear hanger, hard to tell in the pics.
