SUV? REALLY??
I'm a Jeeper
Toss the bike in the back with some it sticking out. Works great.

my nice bike is at home
Stupid SUV's. For the same price you can get a used Porsche 911. My bike fits in the back seat. ( 1983 SC) Wheels in the front trunk. Start living .. For two bikes a roof rack is only a little higher than loading into a truck bed. Same dif & way more sexy.
Do it.
Do it.

Ford Edge. Son gave me a good idea, front wheel off two bikes, one right side up other upside down. I always have a moving blanket in the back, use this to seperate the bikes. This all fits in the back with the second row up.

My bike wouldn't fit in the back of a 911. I had a hard time fitting my bike in the back seat of a 5 series BMW. I like Porsches but I have reach a point where I want a car that is cheap to maintain.
