Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

We decided to go with Primal due to lower minimums...and it got the job done! Primal has been excellent/easy to work with. Now it just comes down to the quality of the kit which, according to others' accounts, we should have nothing to worry about.

I'd like to personally shame the poor loathsome soul who thought it funny to try and ruin this idea by posting crude content in the spreadsheet. I have locked the sheet as it is apparently not safe from 2nd grade shenanigans.

Please e-mail your interest to bikeforums41@gmail.com if you'd like to participate and I will add you to the sheet.

As my finger hovers over the 'Approve' button to open the Team Site for ordering, it appears that we have fewer requests for the Q3 fabric ($75) on the jersey than regular fabric ($70). This tells me to change to the basic jersey, which is also a good fabric. Any dissent should be posted here today and I will open for ordering tonight. Also posting this at the top of the OP.

Will a original version with the HTFU on the outside ever be made? I'm only interested if the HTFU is on the outside.

Awright people, the design is about to be approved. As a reminder, the indication of interest is not a commitment, but also be aware that anything short of the minimum goes on my credit card. I do not wish to put myself in the position of kit broker, so let's hope we hit the minimum and then some.

Minimum is 15 for jerseys and 10 for bibs. I will post the ordering links as soon as I have them tonight or tomorrow. The ordering window will be from that time through midnight of July 19/20.

Please post questions/comcerns here.

Well gang, it turns out I misinterpreted the OR in 'full-zip OR 3/4-zip' in the quote. It has to be all one or the other. As far as interest goes, it looks like we have 13 out of 20 who want full-zip, but I fear this may turn off those who want 3/4-zip.

If we go strictly by numbers, full-zip would win. Will this be an issue for those who wanted 3/4?

Do I need to go ahead and order my own??

As for the zipper, I think more people would have an issue with 3/4 than the other way around...then again the "look" of 3/4 is growing on me for it's oldschool looks.

I am awaiting a call back from Danielle on this. I just want everyone to know what they are ordering. The cost is the same, but we cannot mix styles. Either is fine by me.

As far as your kit enjoi, if Primal cannot do the math and tack on the additional cost once we know the participation (I don't expect them to), I will buy the kit and leave it to the honor system for those who participated to PayPal me the final value divided by participation. Without your design, this project doesn't happen.

Any other ideas welcome.

Here is the description, and what you are all ordering:

Elastic Option - Sleeve: Sleeve - Elastic
Elastic Option - Waist: Waist - Elastic
Fabric Option: SpeedPro
Pocket Option: 3 Rear Straight Pockets
Stitch Option: Traditional Stitch
Zipper Option: YKK Full Zip Hidden
This can be changed to 3/4 zip if there are either major objections or a substantial volume of dissension. We have until the store closes to decide

I will get enjoi's kit and count on the rest of you who order to get me the money somehow. I will PM you, enjoi with details.

Primal does not make a race cut. This is a sport cut, which is between race and club. I know it is a long thread to read, so any questions are welcome. If you want a tighter, race-like fit, you might size down one. I have several Primal jerseys and I can wear either L or XL.

Please feel free to share ideas on how the logistics would work with getting this taken care of. I would be counting on the final tally determining additional cost, then PayPal to collect.

Sounds reasonable to use Paypal. Let us know how much when the time comes...

RT are you shipping these? You should just add on the cost of enjoi's jersey to the shipping costs, we can pay as a gift via paypal to avoid fees. Easy as pie.

I already ordered the 3/4 zip thats on the site, if it changes to full zip, I don't mind, I'm good with whatever.

I posted this in the other thread, then I realized this is the updated one.

I have a question. I don't own any primal jerseys, so are they sized like Castelli or Capo? in other words, I'm 44 inches in the chest. In Castelli and Capo I wear XXL. According to their size chart, in Primal Wear I would wear a XL.

Question is, are they true to size?? in other words, not race cut or european sizing? is it an American size XL??

my fat ass thanks you.

I have worn Primal for years now, and their Sport cut jerseys work in both XL and L on me. I am 6'1" and currently 190 and the L fits like a race cut, but does not look or feel small. My chest is 41" (relaxed) across the nips. I also wear an XL comfortably and it fits like a club fit and not a t-shirt as some have said.
