    Road bike purchase advice

I've been cycling for 4 months and had a specialized secteur compact with shimano 2300. The bike is responsive but i've had to take the bike to the shop several times to fix the shimano. I ride a 54.8 cm.

I want to upgrade to a full carbon shimano 105 or ultegra. I plan to do some crit races next year. I like trek/specialized but they seem higher priced with less quality components

I have 2 bikes i'm looking at. Please chim in.

Barring fit issues, get one or the other based on aesthetics. You can't go wrong. Some will have issues with 105 vs Ultegra.

I can't compare the two because I have only taken a ride on the Kestrel. It is an aggressive position but I like the ride of it. I think that is a nice price if you like the bike. Are you buying online?
Performance has some good deals right now
