Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

That will buff right out.

No I wouldn't trust it nor buy it at that price. However if I did that sort of damage to my own bike, I'd ride it carefully until I could replace it.

I had a Peugeot years ago that had a badly cracked down tube from hitting a car that pulled out in front of me. I put that thing on my trainer and used it for many winters.

That's a catastrophic failure waiting to happen; probably on a downhill descent at 40 mph.

Yeah, looks pretty bad, and where the frame is experiencing a lot of downward pressure and stress.

No mention of the damage in the description. I would ride it around my neighborhood with my kids.

$250 and toss the frame, assuming the components and wheels are in good shape.

It looks bad but it probably wouldn't fail. It's much better to be dented close to the BB than in the middle of the tube.

Offer $250 for the bike. Bike Island or Slashbar for a cheapo frame. Schweet rain bike for you!

Looks like a bullet wound.

I'd ride it, what's the worst that could happen?

Uhhhhh NO! Unless that bike is so cheap you could part it out and make out like a bandit. I see a bad bad frame failure here!

He needs a bigger gun if he is going bike hunting. The one he is using cannot even make it through aluminum tubes.
