You will get much more/better feedback with photos. Even bad photos are better than no photos. And be sure you shoot the right (drive side) of the bike.

Oh. Well, you could take the photos indoors with a flash... Just get sufficient lighting so that others can see what you're dealing with.
You might be surprised by the feedback that you receive over there, which may range to "No. Don't spend the money fixing this" to "Holy Cow! I'd ride that in a minute!" Should be interesting for you, at the very least. Many will have direct experience on your particular bike, and certainly on all of the components involved...
I'm recommending either of the C&V forums, since you're not really looking to sell or to buy, but rather to determine what's worth doing to bring this bike back to running shape. So either C&V or C&V Appraisals would work. Have fun! PG
